New York Red Bulls talent Julian Hall is the subject of transfer interest from Chelsea and Manchester City after becoming the second youngest player ever to feature in Major League Soccer when making his senior team debut last week.
The player joined the New York Red Bulls academy in 2020, working his way through the ranks before leading the Under 15 side to the 2023 U-15 MLS NEXT Cup with five goals. Hall earned the U-15 MLS NEXT Cup MVP Award, propelling him to a contract with the New York Red Bulls II.
Hall managed two goals in 10 appearances leading up to his senior team debut against Chicago FC.
Now, 90min understands Chelsea have made numerous offers to take the 15-year-old on trial with a view to sign him, while Manchester City believe they stand as contenders to land the player after holding talks.
But the Red Bull organisation remains adamant on keeping the player after he signed a new three-year contract on 7 September 2023. The global group wants to monitor Hall’s progress in New York, and plan for a European stint once he turns 18.
The idea is likely a year in Salzburg, before time with Leipzig.
English sides Manchester United, Liverpool, Tottenham and Newcastle have become aware of the player’s current situation and watch him regularly, though no contact has been established. Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain are also conscious of the player.
The player’s future remains undecided for the time being as he finishes the 2023 MLS campaign with the New York Red Bulls.
