Everton are desperately looking to bolster their attacking department in the January transfer window, with David Moyes missing some of his key players due to injuries.

According to a report from Italian newspaper Tuttosport, the Toffees will help Moyes with funds in the winter market to sign at least two attackers.

Moyes will be given a sum of around £33.5 million to bolster the forward department. Everton could also raise further money if Beto is sold to Torino in the next few days.

Everton have registered interest in Rangers striker Hamza Igamane in the January window, but they are checking on other options. Nottingham Forest striker Taiwo Awoniyi has emerged as the latest name on Everton’s shortlist.

Earlier this month, Jack Rosser claimed that West Ham United discussed a loan move to sign the Forest striker. They wanted to sign him permanently as well, but it appears that Everton are now firmly in the race to sign Awoniyi as well.

The next six days are absolutely vital for Everton. Moyes needs help in the market and the Toffees need to sign a striker.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin looked to have found his mojo back under Moyes, but he picked up an injury at the wrong time. He could be out for a while.

Armando Broja has endured a nightmare spell on loan, and he is also out injured. Everton should look to arrange a deal with Chelsea where they can send him back to the parent club and sign a replacement.

Youssef Chermiti is also currently out injured, which means Everton only have Beto as the only available striker.

Tuttosport claim that if Everton sign a new striker, Beto will probably leave to join Torino.

Awoniyi has struggled for a regular starting role at Forest this season. He has made only two starts in the Premier League, and 16 more appearances have come from the bench.

The 10-times capped Nigeria international could be willing to leave City Ground to play under Moyes at Everton if there’s an offer on the table.
