Everton sign Italy international Martina Piemonte | OneFootball

Everton Women have confirmed Milan striker Martina Piemonte as their first summer signing.

The Italy international joins the WSL outfit after producing 14 goals and four assists in just 24 appearances for the Rossoneri last season.

Piemonte has signed a two-year contract with the Toffees and boasts a wealth of European experience from spells with Sevilla, Roma, Real Betis and Fiorentina.

“What I want to achieve is put Everton in a position to win, working together with the manager and everyone else at the club,” said Piemonte.

“I think Everton in investing in women’s football. They did well this year and will want to do even better in the future. I will also have the opportunity to play in one of the best leagues in the world.”

Brian Sørensen’s side finished above local rivals Liverpool by ending the previous WSL campaign in sixth place.
