Rovers compete in the Premier Division of the League of Ireland and are Seamus Coleman’s former club.

Pre-season friendlies for Premier League clubs kick off during July, but Everton fans must wait another couple of weeks before the team returns to action.

They visit Salford City on July 27 before an exciting clash with Championship outfit Coventry City at the Coventry Building Society Arena on Tuesday, July 30.

The Merseyside club will play their final pre-season game against Preston North End at Deepdale on Saturday, August 3.

Everton endured a tough 2023-24 campaign as their Premier League survival looked in danger after a points deduction.

However, manager Sean Dyche inspired his side to some stunning performances as they sealed a 15th-placed finish with 40 points.

The Toffees will hope to make further progress in 2024-25 by finishing in the top half of the table.

They have had a busy summer transfer window, with midfielders Tim Iroegbunam and Iliman Ndiaye arriving at Goodison Park.
