A first point of the campaign for the Toffees came as they resisted the Gunners efforts, aided by the post which denied Emily Fox. Courtney Brosnan thwarted Mariona Caldentey and Frida Maanum more than once, the goalkeeper also frustrating Caitlin Foord at the end.
An Annabel Blanchard double saw Crystal Palace clinch their first-ever WSL victory at Leicester City. Katie Stengel aided Blanchard with the second-half opener, the lead was increased when Lexi Potter was brought down in the box by Ruby Mace and Blanchard stuck away the spot-kick.

Liverpool were 3-2 winners at Tottenham, after they had taken the lead a third time. The Reds led after 10 minutes, Becky Spencer’s clearance taken down by Cornelia Kapocs and lofted back over the keeper into the net from 30 yards. Very soon after Spurs’ Amanda Nilden deflected a Gemma Bonner header against her own post and away, the hosts levelled when Jess Naz’s cross was turned past her own keeper by Taylor Hinds. Liverpool went back in front on 75 minutes, Marie-Therese Höbinger curling a free kick into the top corner. The the visitors helped the ball into their own net for the second time, Clare Hunt’s effort going in off Bonner. More drama followed in stoppage time, Höbinger putting away a penalty despite a hand from Spencer.

Manchester City moved onto seven points from three games with victory over West Ham, who have just the solitary point. Vivianne had the ball in the net for the Hammers after less than two minutes but was flagged offside, City taking the lead inside 1o minutes as Lauren Hemp picked up a loose ball to finish. Not long after, West Ham’s Dagny Brynjarsdóttir headed a great chance wide and City would eventually got their second into the last 20 minutes, Mary Fowler nodding home a Khadija Shaw cross.
