Former Barcelona captain Sergi Roberto is the latest name to be linked with the Italian capital club.

Roma are in fact looking to strengthen their midfield before the end of the summer.

The Giallorossi want to add one more midfielder to Daniele De Rossi’s disposal.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, free agent Sergi Roberto has been proposed to Roma in recent days.

The 32-year-old left the Catalan club after the expiry of his contract and is now eager to play in Serie A.

The player earns less than 3 million euros, but Roma are yet to respond to this idea.
