The ex-Pilgrim has sent a strong message to the Argyle boss following his decision to limit Joe Edwards' minutes in recent weeks.
Former Plymouth Argyle man and current Wrexham AFC defender, Dan Scarr, has questioned Miron Muslic's decision to not start Joe Edwards in games since he returned from injury.
The Pilgrims' captain played the second half of his side's vital 2-1 win over promotion-hopefuls Sheffield United on Saturday in the lunchtime kick-off, as the Blades let go of a 1-0 lead in the final 10 minutes of normal time.
It was a third defeat in a row for Chris Wilder's side, whose chances of returning to the Premier League look to be dashed with the gap to Leeds United and Burnley now at five points, while the Devonshire outfit are now just three points from safety.
This week has been a good one for Plymouth, and despite a crushing 3-0 loss to Swansea City on Wednesday, two home wins in seven days over Norwich City and Sheffield United have seen them close the gap to Derby County. However, their manager has not been free from criticism from Scarr.
In the space of just a few days, Argyle's chances of staying in the Championship have improved drastically, with goals from Ryan Hardie and Muhamed Tijani seeing them past another high-flier in the second tier at Home Park.
Muslic was incredibly proud of his players following the victory, and he took to his X account to tell supporters to continue to believe in their team.
He wrote: "Just imagine," in response to a video of himself shouting to fans that Plymouth can stay in the division.
While it was a positive day for the Pilgrims, it was another match that their captain, Edwards, was forced to start on the bench for - having done so in every game since their new manager took over in PL2.
Ex-Plymouth ace, Scarr, responded to Muslic's post, calling him out for his decision not to start the versatile wing-back, saying: "Play the people who care then! The skipper has been there and done it 💚"
While it has been a frustrating couple of months for Edwards, he proved to his manager just how crucial he can be for the team when he came on at half-time.
He played a huge role in Argyle's equaliser as he acrobatically played the ball through to Hardie, who fired the ball past Michael Cooper, before Tijani went on to later spectacularly smash it home on the half-volley to hand Plymouth all three points.
The Pilgrims captain brought a level of calm to the side that had been lacking in the first half, and this allowed Muslic's side a foothold in the game, and it's clear to see how willing he is to make the runs, tackles and passes for the badge on a weekly basis.
The Plymouth boss has an incredibly tough decision to make regarding Edwards on Friday as they make the long journey up to Middlesbrough, with the Championship's bottom side looking for just their second away win of the season.
