Antonio Cassano has delivered his verdict on the Scudetto race, naming Inter Milan as the leading favorites while ruling Milan and Juventus out of the picture.

In the latest episode of Viva El Futbol, as reported by FCInter1908, the former Roma and Real Madrid forward made a shocking statement over the Serie A title race.

Cassano sees Inter as the uncontested frontrunner to win the prize. Though that’s a well-adopted opinion, his assessment of the top-four race was mind-blowing.

Despite Juventus’ eventful transfer window and Milan’s long-standing top-four presence, he believes the household duo won’t finish in the top four this term.

Instead, he backs Atalanta, Roma, and Napoli to claim the coveted spots.

“Now heaven forbid, I say Inter, Roma, Atalanta, and Napoli,” Cassano stated. “I go to death with my ideas and say Juventus and Milan out of the top four.”

Despite Napoli’s disastrous day-one loss at Hellas Verona and Roma’s equally disappointing showing at Cagliari, Cassano was adamant.

Antonio Conte’s debut went all wrong. Verona thrashed his side 2-0 at Mac’Antonio Bentegodi.

As for Roma, they slumped to a goalless draw at the Unipol Domus.

It’s not like Inter and Milan impressed. The San Siro tenants drew 2-2 on the opening weekend against Genoa and Torino, respectively.

Adani agreed with his compatriot regarding Inter’s title chances.

However, he refused to crash Juventus and Milan out of the top-four frame.

“I say that Inter will win the Scudetto, then Milan, Juventus and then Atalanta and Roma are fighting for fourth place in the Champions League,” Adani stated.

Meanwhile, Ventola didn’t see eye-to-eye with his colleagues as he named the Rossoneri the Scudetto favorites.

“I say Milan, Inter, Juventus and Roma,” he claimed.
