Exclusive says Chelsea now have great chance to beat Spurs and Arsenal to €80m target

Chelsea need another striker, that much is clear. We thought they might sign one the same summer they signed Nicolas Jackson but they didn’t, we were certain they’d sign one last summer but they didn’t. Now after a season where their only senior option is missing through this crucial stage, they surely can’t kick the can down the line any further.
The list of players we’ve looked at over these 3 years is vast – and the same names come up time and again. Victor Osimhen, Viktor Gyokeres, Matheus Cunha…
One name we heard a lot about 18 months ago but then seemed to go quiet was Benjamin Sesko – and that’s a shame, as he’s many people’s favoured option for that position. It seemed we had simply lost too much ground to Arsenal and other rivals in the chase for his signature, but more than a year on and he’s still at RB Leipzig, giving us a certain chance to get back in there.
CaughtOffside say that the 21 year old is going to move this summer, with his €80m release clause tempting a lot of teams. Chelsea, Man U and Tottenham are all apparently interested, along with the Gunners.

Sesko has all the tools to be a great alternative for Jackson or to lead the line with him. He’s got great physical characteristics and a monster left foot. The time is right for him to move on – he’s gone as far as he can with Leipzig, who are struggling towards the bottom of the table now.
Spurs have just signed Dominic Solanke, Man U have spent big on two strikers in a row which haven’t worked out – if we can steal a march on hesitant Arsenal, this old rumour could yet end up coming true.
