Manchester Untied have repeatedly sent scouts to watch Giorgio Scalvini in recent weeks as they consider a summer move for the Atalanta starlet.
The 20-year-old Italian centre back is considered one of the most exciting emerging talents in Serie A and he’s continued impressing this season, seeing over 2500 minutes of action across 33 games with Gian Piero Gasperini’s side.
A long list of top clubs have had their sights set on Scalvini for a long time now, including Newcastle United, Real Madrid, Juventus, Inter and Bayern Munich. Back in January, the 20-year-old signed a new contract with Atalanta, lasting to June 2028.
Transfer market expert Matteo Moretto provided an update on Manchester United’s interest in Scalvini via Caught Offside.
The Red Devils have sent scouts to follow the 20-year-old defender on a number of occasions and have been left impressed, which has seen the starlet added to the club’s shortlist ahead of the summer transfer window.
Whilst no final decision has been made yet, Scalvini has proven himself an important talent, with a price tag of circa €30-40m.
