Crystal Palace have signed Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea on loan for the remainder of the season.
Chalobah was among several members of the Blues' first team told to find other clubs prior to the summer transfer deadline.
For a long while, it appeared he would be remaining at Stamford Bridge, but a few suitors emerged on deadline day.
Wolves were linked with a move for the versatile defender before Palace swooped in and agreed terms with Chelsea.
Palace had to submit a deal sheet to the Premier League in order to be granted extra time to thrash out the loan, having only signed off terms with Chelsea late on Friday night, and finally confirmed the move on Saturday morning.
The Eagles have enjoyed a busy end to the summer window, with defender Maxence Lacroix, striker Eddie Nketiah and goalkeeper Matt Turner also sealing moves to Selhurst Park on deadline day. Oliver Glasner will also be able to depend on Marc Guehi this season after Newcastle United failed in their push to sign the England international.
Palace travel to Chelsea this weekend and Chalobah would not have been eligible to represent them immediately even if he had been registered with the Premier League in time. He could suit up in the red-and-blue for the first time when they host Leicester City after the September international break. Glasner's side have opened the season with two defeats from their opening two games.
