The FA Women’s National League returns this Sunday with the start of the 2022/23 season under the #FAWNLBigKickOff banner.
After Newcastle United smashed the attendance record for a FA WNL fixture last season, with 22,134 people attending the club’s match against Alnwick Town at St James’ Park, several other fixtures across the divisions will be played at large stadiums this season:
Carol West, Chair of The FA Women’s National League, commented: “Euro 2022 defied every expectation in terms of the attention it brought to the women’s game. Our job now is to ensure that this translates into further growth for domestic women’s football in England. With incredible football on display week in week out at affordable prices, we want to see as many fans as possible coming along to cheer on their local team across The FA WNL this season.”
With adult tickets across The FA WNL generally costing under £5, the league presents an affordable way of following a football team. Match day tickets and season tickets can be purchased via the clubs’ websites.
