América have been boosted by the return to training of striker Federico Viñas, according to RÉCORD.
The 23-year-old had his Guard1anes 2021 campaign disrupted by injury, but is set to start in Thursday’s Apertura opener against Querétaro.
Azulcrema manager Santiago Solari will need the Uruguay U-23 international to fill in while Henry Martín is away on Olympic duty with Mexico in Tokyo.
The outlet’s report adds that Nicolás Benedetti has not yet returned to full training, but could yet be available for the game at the Estadio Corregidora.
It was expected that the Colombian would leave Las Águilas this summer, but he continues to be part of the squad.
That said, América are still understood open to be open to suitable offers for the former Deportivo Cali midfielder.
