Tottenham travel to Hungary for their Europa League exploits this week to face Ferencvaros in the capital.

However, Ferencvaros will provide a different sort of challenge for the North London club, with the Greens looking to bounce back after defeat to Anderlecht on matchweek one in Europe.

Ange Postecoglou’s attacking options are thin at the moment, with Wilson Odobert, Richarlison and Heung-min Son all unavailable for selection.

The Australian will also be without defender Radu Dragusin after the centre-back was sent off in the eighth minute of their Europa League opener against Qarabag.

Form

Ferencvaros: DWWLW

The Hungarian champions commenced their Europa League campaign with a narrow 2-1 defeat at Anderlecht.

Pascal Jansen’s side originally were in Champions League qualifying rounds, but dropped down into Europa League qualifying after being knocked out by FC Midtjylland.

After two legs, they beat Bosnian outfit Borac Banja Luka on penalties to see them through to the league phase.

Domestically, Ferencvaros have won all of their six league games this term as they look to lift the Nemzeti Bajnoksag trophy for the seventh consecutive time.

Brazilian forward Saldanha is one to watch, with the 25-year-old netting a hat-trick off the bench against the Puskas Academy at the weekend.

Tottenham: LWWWW

Spurs will be searching for their fifth consecutive victory on Thursday night, with Ange Postecoglou’s team rediscovering their proficiency in front of goal.

Despite being numerically disadvantaged for the majority of the game, the Lilywhites managed to beat Qarabag 3-0 in North London last week.

Having also scored three goals in wins over Manchester United and Brentford in the Premier League, Spurs have arrested a rough spell of form where they couldn’t capitalise on their dominance.

If Tottenham manage to triumph over Ferencvaros and Brighton, Postecoglou will be pleased with his side’s progress going into the international break.
