Itā€™s not news to anyone that West Ham have had a tough start to the season, but how they start games seems to be part of the problem.

After Liam Delapā€™s goal for Ipswich today, no side have conceded more first half goals than the Irons to date.

Julen Lopetegui spent big this summer on defenders, with Aaron Wan Bissaka, Max Kilman and Jean-Clair Todibo making the move to the East End, but it has not had the desired effect.

They have let in eight goals before the break this season, compared to just three after it in their six and half games.

Delapā€™s goal cancelled out Michael Antonioā€™s first-minute opener, but West Ham did retake the lead right before the half-time whistle through Mohammed Kudus.

If they can hold out for the win, or even draw, they will end at least one poor record today. The Irons have lost their opening three home games for the first time in the Premier League era.

Can Ipswich turn it around to make it four, or will Lopetegui finally get his side up and running?
