One player who has been the subject of much transfer speculation at Sheffield Wednesday of late is midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru.
The 21-year-old has put in some impressive performances this season, with five goals and three assists in 26 appearances in all competitions.
But Dele-Bashiru is out of contract at Hillsborough at the end of the season and as he is yet to put pen-to-paper on an extension, speculation about his future has gathered pace.
Here’s the latest news regarding Dele-Bashiru.
Who is interested?
There is no shortage of interest in securing Dele-Bashiru’s services.
Wednesday managed to keep hold of him in the summer, turning down two bids from Championship side Blackpool, with the second of those reportedly just under £1 million.
According to Sky Sports’ Transfer Centre (09/01 14:30), current Serie A champions AC Milan, PSV Eindhoven and Besiktas are all monitoring his situation, as well as a number of unnamed Premier League and Championship clubs.
Bristol City were also one of those known to be keeping tabs in the summer, but the Robins are unlikely to make a move this month, according to Bristol World.
But with Dele-Bashiru’s reputation increasing, it would not be a surprise to see him attract more admirers as the window progresses.

How much is he worth?
Given the Owls turned down an offer from the Seasiders worth just under £1 million in the summer, it seems likely that seven figures is the minimum they would accept.
Chairman Dejphon Chansiri is known for being unwilling to compromise on his valuation of players and he will be reluctant to let Dele-Bashiru go for anything less than his asking price.
The problem for Wednesday is that with Dele-Bashiru’s contract running down, they are not in a particularly strong negotiating position and his suitors will feel they can secure a cut-price deal this month, while he is also free to talk to foreign clubs.
If someone does come in with a suitable bid this month, Wednesday will be facing a decision on whether to cash in on one of their prized assets.
As things stand, Dele-Bashiru looks set to remain in S6 and he is supposedly keen to assess all his options before deciding on his next move.
Wednesday manager Darren Moore confirmed in November that the club were in talks with Dele-Bashiru and his representatives, but he was cautious over the prospects of a deal being agreed.
Moore recently admitted that the transfer speculation could potentially have affected Dele-Bashiru’s form in recent weeks.
“Fizz is somebody that we talk to every day in training,” Moore told The Star.
“He’s a young player who is really developing in the game. And these kinds of talks, and contractual situations, can perhaps be a distraction – but one thing he knows is that his manager is with him every step of the way. And I’ll try to keep him grounded, understanding the situation, and understanding that – even though everything is going on – he’s still contracted and expected to perform.”
There seems to be little sign of Dele-Bashiru committing his future to the club at this point, but there have also been no approaches this month so far.
