AC Milan head coach Paulo Fonseca has explained his selection choices in view of the game against Liverpool tonight, admitting there is a need for keeping ‘structure’ out of possession.

Fonseca spoke in his pre-match press conference about the need for his side to be perfect given the level of the opponent, but also the great opportunity that exists to make a statement and follow up a good result against Venezia in the best possible way.

The coach has chosen to make three changes to the starting line-up from the team that won the game before the international break, with Davide Calabria and Fikayo Tomori coming into the defence and Alvaro Morata leading the line.

Fonseca spoke to Sky around 45 minutes before kick-off and he was asked about the magnitude of the occasion in addition to the decisions he has made regarding the starting XI, with his comments relayed by MilanNews.
