Fonseca responds to Gimenez’s comments: “I like Abraham and Morata more” | OneFootball

Santiago Gimenez has been a hot topic in the AC Milan environment in the last few hours as he admitted that an offer was made in the summer. When asked about the matter during today’s press conference, Paulo Fonseca provided a good answer.

Gimenez has been linked with Milan for quite some time and when the player himself admitted that an offer was made this summer, fuel was added to the fire. The striker even stated that the door is still open for the move as joining the club would be a dream.

During today’s press conference, on the eve of Fiorentina-Milan, Fonseca was asked about the interest in Gimenez and provided a very good answer.

Do you like Santiago Gimenez?

“I like him. But I like Abraham and Morata more (laughs).”

Indeed, with the likes of Abraham and Morata in the team it would be difficult for Gimenez to get consistent playing time, not to mention that he could be a starter for many teams. As such, a future move seems unlikely for now.
