Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba’s career has suffered badly since leaving Old Trafford.

The World Cup winner swapped United for Juventus for the second time in the summer of 2022 having ran his contract down in Manchester.

However, injuries plagued his first season back in Turin and a subsequent drugs ban has left his future in the game in major doubt.

The Frenchman has been slapped with a four-year ban after testing positive for Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA).

Pogba will be 34 when his ban expires but any talk of retirement has been squashed by the talented midfielder.

As reported by Italian media, Pogba maintains his innocence and insists he will continue to fight the charges with a view of getting back on the pitch as soon as possible.

“I still feel like a footballer, I want to get back on the pitch. Otherwise I would have left, I want to fight this injustice. I’m positive. I never said I was finished, I’m here and I’m not finished.

“I feel like a footballer, I’m training and I’m spending time with my family. I’m not playing, I’m not doing the thing I love. I really want to get back on the field,” he said.

Rumours of a split between player and club have also been rife but Pogba claims he is still very much a Juventus player and hasn’t heard otherwise from the hierarchy at Juve.

“I’m still a Juve player, you have to talk to them. I’m under contract, I haven’t spoken to Giuntoli and Motta. There’s a bit of silence, you have to ask them,” he added.

Pogba spoke after meeting up with the French squad before their European Championship Round of 16 tie against Belgium after being greeted by a chorus of cheers from Les Bleus fans.

The former United man said he was “happy to feel the love” from his fans and admitted that he has “been missing” the adulation from supporters.

No official communication has come from Juventus on how they view Pogba’s future.
