Yacine Adli has exploited his increased game time at Fiorentina after joining from Milan on loan and would welcome a permanent transfer to the Viola. He spoke with RMC Sport (via Tuttomercatoweb).
“It’s tough to talk about the future now, as we’re just at the beginning. The goal is to have a great season, let the pitch do the talking, and have consistent performances. If the team and I have a great campaign, the club won’t fail to activate its option to buy. Anyway, playing well will help me regardless.”
Adli revisited his recent transfers to Milan and Fiorentina.
“Bordeaux were in a complicated situation when I left. I was chosen by the Rossoneri directors at the time, which is different from being wanted by the coach. That’s the case for the Viola, as the boss asked for me, and the brass was on the same wavelength. It’s not the same thing in terms of confidence. I can perceive that, I’m comfortable on the pitch, and I can express my capabilities to the fullest.”
The Frenchman took stock of his time in Serie A.
“Italy improved me tactically. I can play in every midfield role now, and I’m more complete. I’m asked to be the organizer of the team and contribute defensively.”
His option to buy, €10.5M, isn’t too high, so a definitive switch is very probable, but the Gigliati have several players in the same situation, as they leaned on such a formula a lot. They’d all be deserving to stay, but it remains to be seen whether they’ll have the funds for that.
