As reported by Het Nieuwsblad, Anderlecht striker Benito Raman is eyeing a return to the Bundesliga or Bundesliga 2. The former Fortuna Düsseldorf and Schalke 04 forward has said that he wants to return to Germany as he believed that is where he played his best football. He came back to Belgium in 2021 for what he said were personal reasons which have now been resolved.
The 29-year-old has barely featured for Anderlecht this season, with just two starts in his seven appearances so far. He has yet to score in the league. Since joining form Schalke 04 in 2021 he has scored 19 goals in 86 games. Raman began his career in Belgium with Gent, spending time on loan with Sint-Truiden, Kortrijk and Beerschot. In 2016 he joined Standard Liege and scored six goals in 32 games. Fortuna Düsseldorf then brought him in on loan in 2017, with Raman scoring 10 goals in 29 games as Fortuna gained promotion to the Bundesliga.
During his first season int he top flight the striker scored 11 goals in 32 games, earning a move to Schalke in the summer of 2019. During two seasons with Schalke he scored 12 goals in 55 games.
