Francis Uzoho was the talk of the town after his goalkeeping masterclass at Manchester United on Thursday night.
Omonoia looked, for all intents and purposes, to be strolling towards a 5-0, 6-0, 7-0 defeat when they made the trip to Old Trafford this week despite having made life hard for their Premier League opponents during the reverse fixture.
But just as they had at the GSP Stadium just days beforehand, the Cypriot side frustrated United and remarkably came just seconds away from taking a point back to Nicosia.
That's because Neil Lennon's side put on a Herculean performance at the 'Theatre of Dreams' that was only unravelled by a stoppage-time winner from Scott McTominay that felt rather cruel.
Nevertheless, Omonia could feel very proud about their efforts and that especially goes for the aforementioned Uzoho, who grabbed the opportunity to play against the team that he supports with both hands.
With first-choice stopper Fabiano Freitas, who won the Man of the Match award against United the previous week, out of the return fixture through injury, Uzoho had the chance to make a name for himself in one of football's most famous arenas - and boy did he.
The Nigeria international produced one of the finest goalkeeping displays of the 2022/23 season so far by making a staggering 12 saves to come within inches of bagging himself a clean sheet.
And although McTominay would ultimately spoil the party with his unsaveable late winner, you could certainly forgive Uzoho for still being on top of the world after the game in spite of the fact.
After all, Uzoho had been the star of the show against the team of his heart in a match-up that, with all due respect to this impressive Omonia side, is unlikely to come up again for years and years to come.
As such, according to the Independent, Uzoho beamed in his post-match press conference: "It is my best performance, I have to admit. I am very happy with that. I am a Manchester United fan. My dad is as well.“
And the 23-year-old's love for the Red Devils was further evidenced by snaps of him posing for a photograph with Erik ten Hag and getting the chance to chat with his idol David de Gea.
However, the fairytale feeling doesn't end there, because fans quickly noticed in the aftermath of the game that Uzoho hadn't been quiet about his love for the Premier League giants online.
In fact, several of Uzoho's old tweets were pulled up by supporters, showing just how much he adores United and making the feel-good factor surrounding his display at Old Trafford even more touching in the process.
From passionately defending Anthony Martial from criticism to joking about forgiving Casemiro as he arrived in the summer, Uzoho's Twitter history truly does solidify Thursday's events as one of the most heartwarming stories of the season so far. Check out his posts down below:
Look, Uzoho is not some random goalkeeper whose performance at United was completely out of the oridinary.
It is, after all, important to acknowledge that we're talking about a man who has sported Nigeria's number one jersey and represented the 'Super Eagles' at both the Africa Cup of Nations and World Cup.
However, that doesn't make it any less charming that he's happy to be so open and unabashed about a club that both him and his father loves, which is more than apparent than in his tweets idolising De Gea and bemoaning Premier League defeats.
So although Uzoho most certainly deserved to be guarding Omonia's goal on the Europa League stage, it still felt extra special that the former Deportivo de La Coruña got his chance to live out a childhood dream.
And boy did he rise to the occasion. Take a bow, Francis.
