There looks to be no progress with Massadio Haïdara (31) despite the RC Lens defender agreeing to a deal with FC Nantes earlier this week.

Lens will not allow their player to leave without a suitable replacement already lined up. And despite, Les Sang et Or having worked tirelessly in recent weeks to find an adequate option to facilitate the move, there has been no advance on their situation.

Franck Haise explains the situation for Haïdara and Cortés

As Lens head coach, Franck Haise explained, “As I said, and as the president said, there is no departure without an arrival. As there is no arrival, there will be no departure.” However, Haise confirmed that the club are close to agreeing to a deal that would see Óscar Cortés (20) join Rangers FC.

The Colombian midfielder has yet to settle since his summer move to the North of France from his home country. And now the former Millonarios player will look to continue his development in Europe with a move to Philippe Clement’s side as they attempt to make up a five-point gap between them and Celtic.
