Fresh anger in Real Madrid camp over yet another controversial La Liga schedule

Following back to back defeats to Valencia and Arsenal, the mood in the Real Madrid camp is far from ideal right now.
The club are struggling with injuries, inconsistency and an overal lack of confidence while coach Carlo Ancelotti is facing mounting pressure.
Now, to make things even worse, Real Madrid have been dealt with yet another blow on the scheduling front.
According to Mundo Deportivo, there is renewed frustration within the club after it was confirmed that Los Blancos would be the only side among the eight Champions League quarterfinalists to play their domestic league fixture on Sunday, rather than Saturday.
Indeed, Real Madrid are set to take on Deportivo Alaves tomorrow whereas their arch-rivals Barcelona are slated to take on Leganes later tonight.
Having to wait another day to play a league game means Real Madrid will have one less day to prepare for the second leg tie against Arsenal, where the club would need to overcome a strong 3-0 deficit.

Apart from Barcelona, Clubs like Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Inter Milan, and Aston Villa all played their league games on Saturday, while PSG managed to postpone their fixture altogether, thanks to their comfortable standing in Ligue 1.
This isn’t the first time Real Madrid have raised concerns. A few weeks ago, they protested the short turnaround between their Champions League clash with Atlético and the La Liga trip to Villarreal.
While Carlo Ancelotti has refused to issue any public statement this time around, it is clear that the upper echelons of the Real Madrid management is far from happy.
Playing on Sunday, while their European opponent rests, could be mentally draining — especially in a week where everything already feels heavy. And it will be interesting to see whether or not this will eventually take a toll on Madrid come Wednesday.
