Atletico Madrid winger Rodrigo Riquelme may be eyeing a move to Roma within the coming days.

Due to the possible departure of Paulo Dybala, ROma are trying not to be caught unprepared.

According to Spanish newspaper Olé, the Giallorossi have identified Rodrigo Riquelme as the ideal replacement for la Joya.

The Spanish winger, currently at Atletico Madrid, would prefer to remain in the Spanish capital, but the arrival of Julián Álvarez has put his position within the team in doubt.

Atletico Madrid, who need to recover from the large investment made for Álvarez, could be willing to sell Riquelme for a sum of around 25 million euros, a sum that Roma would be willing to pay.

However, the Giallorossi face competition from Girona, who have already expressed interest in the young Spanish talent.

The situation remains uncertain, and much will depend on Dybala’s decisions and Riquelme’s willingness to seek new challenges in Serie A.
