The future of George Puscas at Reading has been fairly uncertain throughout summer.
During last season the striker was sent out on loan to Pisa where he did well scoring eight goals and contributing an assist in 18 league games.
As a result there are now a number of Italian sides including Parma and Bari that are interested in a move for the player this summer and it looks like Reading are willing to let him go.
However, Berkshire Live have reported that if a deal was to happen a fee of £2.1million would be expected.
With the level of interest surrounding the player, we asked FLW’s Reading fan pundit Johnny Hunt whether he would sell the striker this summer: “George Puscas is clearly the one they are trying to move on, I think every Italian club bar the Vatican has been linked with him so if he’s lined up for the next pope who knows, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s mentioned in today’s media.
“But yeah, he’s on his way but he’s been on his way for a few weeks which has held up the Sarr deal which is frustrating because we desperately need a guy like that at the back along with Hutchinson. Holmes and McIntyre have been okay but on Saturday it was men against boys in many respects.
“It’s going to happen, I don’t know if he’s holding out for wages, whatever it is but once he goes then that means Sarr can come in.
“He obviously doesn’t want to be at Reading or isn’t wanted at Reading because he would’ve been on the bench at least the past few games.”

True False
The Verdict:
As Johnny says, it’s very hard not to see this move happening this summer. Puscas has clearly fallen out of favour with the Royals and at the same time seems keen to make a move himself.
It may be a case of wages with the player holding out for a better deal or it could be that Reading are trying to drive up the bids coming in for the player.
However, it’s worth getting a deal done soon to ensure they don’t miss out on signing Sarr. Sarr will do much more for Paul Ince’s side this season than Puscas and therefore, the manager needs to prioritise bringing the new faces in.
