Fulham host Premier League champions-in-waiting Liverpool this weekend as they bid to get their season back on track.

The Cottagers have won just two of their last five top-flight outings, while they also bowed out of the FA Cup last week with a 3-0 home defeat to Crystal Palace.

When these two sides at Anfield earlier this season, Liverpool snatched a late point thanks to terrific goal from Diogo Jota. The west London outfit showed once again they can cause the Reds trouble, but this time they will be hoping home advantage can spur them to victory.

Fulham manager Marco Silva believes his team will have to be “close to perfection” to beat the table toppers as they vye for one of the European spots.

“We need to fight really hard for the three points,” the Portuguese tactician told his pre-match press conference. “We are in our own battle too. They want the three points to be closer to the title – we want our three points for our own battle.”

Fulham team news

Kenny Tete could make a return to the matchday squad against Liverpool. The Dutch full-back has not featured since December due to a knee injury.

It may be a little too soon for Harry Wilson to face his former club, but his recovery from surgery on his metatarsal in February is going well. The Wales winger is doing individual work on the grass.

Arsenal loanee Reiss Nelson remains sidelined by a thigh injury which could keep him out for the rest of the season.

Fulham predicted lineup vs Liverpool

Silva is unlikely to go with a back five again like he did for the 2-1 defeat to Arsenal in midweek. Expect a back four with Jorge Cuenca and Issa Diop dropping to the bench to make way for Calvin Bassey.

Wide men Emile Smith Rowe and Adama Traore could also be dropped in place of Andreas Pereira and Willian, with Alex Iwobi moving out to the right wing. Rodrigo Muniz replaces Raul Jiménez up front.

Possible Fulham XI: Bernd Leno; Timothy Castagne, Joachim Andersen, Calvin Bassey, Antonee Robinson; Sander Berge, Sasa Lukic; Alex Iwobi, Andreas Pereira, Willian; Rodrigo Muniz.

When does the match kickoff?

Fulham and Liverpool are scheduled to kick off at 2pm UK time on Sunday, 5 April at Craven Cottage in London, England.
