Scott McTominay is now moving closer to the Manchester United exit door, with Fulham and Napoli now having active interest in the 27-year-old Scottish midfielder. The Premier League club is now back in conversations with Manchester United with the view of trying to come to an agreement on a deal, with Napoli also showing a keen interest in his signature.

The preference for Manchester United at this moment in time is a permanent sale. The club is looking to wrap up a deal for Manuel Ugarte, with the Uruguayan international now pushing for a move to the Red’s.

McTominay Close To Leaving + Ugarte Latest

Ugarte is fed up with the situation at PSG and believes he is being unfairly treated after being left out of their squad for the opening game of the season. The midfielder feels the situation has gone on for far too long and is determined to push through a move to United, feeling he can make his mark at such a massive club.

McTominay’s sale is one of the dominoes that is expected to fall if United cannot get PSG to lower their current £51 million asking price. The Red’s are holding out for £25 million, having already rejected two bids below that from Fulham. United deem McTominay worth £25 million and above, especially coming off the back of a season where he scored 10 goals for the club. Marco Silva is a keen admirer of the Scot and is one of the pushing factors internally at the Cottagers.

Napoli and Fulham are in conversations, with McTominay said to be accepting of his situation at United and open to a move away to chase more regular game time. Napoli have proposed an initial loan, but as of now, the side from Manchester would prefer a permanent sale. Fulham believes a deal can be done in the coming days before the deadline closes on August 30th.
