Having looked all set to join Everton, Ernest Nuamah (20) now looks set to join Fulham, after the London club hijacked the deal, according to a report from Fabrizio Romano.
Lyon, whilst still trying to secure incomings before the closure of the transfer window on Friday evening, are focused on outgoings. At the start of the summer, OL aimed at raising €100m in player sales. With just hours remaining in the window, they have not got close to that figure. Les Gones had reportedly set a €30m price tag for Nuamah.
It had been expected that the Ghanaian winger would join Everton, a club that OL owner John Textor is in talks to purchase. Nuamah had even agreed terms with the Toffees, only for Fulham to lodge a last-minute attempt to hijack the deal. Romano reports that a deal between Fulham and Lyon has now been agreed. It is now a question of completing the paperwork before the deadline in just one hour’s time.
