Fulham host Everton in a Premier League showdown on Saturday, May 10th, at 3pm (UK time). Our man Anthony Eadson has previewed the action and provided us with his two best bets.

Jarrad Branthwaite 1+ Foul Won (19/20 Paddy Power)

Jarrad Branthwaite has enjoyed a strong season with the Toffees and it’s clear to see that he enjoys to carry the ball forward. This can often lead to the defender being fouled more times than what you would expect for a centre-back. Taking a look at his foul figures, he has won at least one in all of his last five matches. His figures in that period read 2,1,2,1,1, and at just under even money I think this looks a strong proposition.

Under 1.5 Cards (11/2 with Paddy Power)

With little on the line for both teams I think we could see a low-scoring game with a low card-count. Referee Michael Salisbury takes the whistle, who holds the lowest yellow card average in the Premier League this season at just 2.85 per game, is unlikely to have a busy afternoon.

Fulham have received only 12 yellow cards across their last five matches—five of which came in a notably heated contest against Aston Villa, while two were shown late in a comfortable win over Liverpool. Their recent average of 2.4 cards per game may dip further against a relatively tame Everton side.

Notably, no cards were shown in Everton’s most recent away fixture at Chelsea, and with another trip to West London on the horizon, a similarly restrained encounter could be in store.

How both teams go into Fulham vs Everton

Fulham’s 1-0 loss to Aston Villa last weekend marked their third defeat in four matches and continued a concerning trend—six defeats in their last ten Premier League outings, matching the total number of losses they recorded in their first 25 games this season. Their dip in form has seen them slip into the bottom half of the table, yet the race for a top-half finish remains wide open, with eighth place just two points away. A victory this weekend, combined with dropped points from Bournemouth, Brighton, and Brentford, could see Marco Silva’s men reassert themselves in the hunt. Encouragingly for Fulham, their recent record against Everton is strong—they are unbeaten in their last seven encounters with the Toffees, a run that offers reason for optimism.

David Moyes was reinstated as Everton boss with one job, and the Scottish tactician successfully accomplished that mission, steering the Toffees away from a relegation fight. However, that momentum has stalled. Having won four of his first six matches back in charge (one loss and one draw), it has been one win since (six draws and three losses). Back-to-back losses against Manchester City and Chelsea, failing to score in both games, before a 2-2 draw with Ipswich leave them in 14th place, with Everton likely to once again finish in the bottom half.

Fulham team news

Reiss Nelson is unlikely to play again this season after sustaining a thigh injury. He is one Fulham player certainly ruled out, with no return date for Antonee Robinson, who is dealing with a knee injury. Rodrigo Muniz could return after recently missing games with a minor knock.

Everton team news

Orel Mangala, James Tarkowski, and Jesper Lindström will not play for Everton until the new season. Dominic Calvert-Lewin may return after dealing with a thigh injury.

Fulham vs Everton head-to-head

Fulham are unbeaten in their last seven meetings with Everton (four wins and three draws), having lost 10 of their 14 previous meetings (two wins and two draws).
