Tullio Tinti, agent of Milan defender Matteo Gabbia, has urged the Rossoneri to give his client more opportunities, and has suggested that being an Italian player in San Siro puts him at a disadvantage compared to some of his teammates.

Gabbia was a constant starter for Milan in the first half of the 2024-25 season under Paulo Fonseca, but has been in and out of the line-up following the appointment of Sergio Conceicao at the end of 2024.

Gabbia agent urges Milan for more game time

Tinti, his agent, insists that Gabbia has all the qualities required to be a top defender for the Rossoneri, and feels that the club should give him more opportunities as a starter.

He also suggests that being an Italian player at Milan means that he has to convince the coaches more than some ‘other players’, who he feels are ‘given the shirt’ with fewer questions asked.

“Milan renewed his contract a few months ago, but being Italian, he always has to convince the coaches, while others arrive and get given the shirt immediately. They should give him a bit more consideration,” Tinti told Radio Sportiva, quoted via Milannews.it.

“He has shown that he is a Milan player and that he has the attitude required to be a Milan player.”
