Turkish giants Galatasaray have recently inquired about Roma outcast Bryan Cristante, previously linked with Inter. Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claims the Super Lig title favorites intend to add the former Milan midfielder to their ranks this winter.

Cristante has fallen out of favor at Roma since Claudio Ranieri returned to the club. Indeed, the 29-year-old last featured for the Giallorossi in early December. However, he has been on the fringes since succumbing to an alleged ankle problem toward the end of the calendar year.

The truth is Roma are eager to move him on. Deemed surplus to requirements by Ranieri, Cristante would probably embrace a switch to Istanbul. Meanwhile, the club won’t stand in his way. A loan with an option to buy would be an acceptable formula.

Cristante’s contract at the Stadio Olimpico runs out in 2027. That gives Roma enough time to find him a new club and avoid losing him on a free transfer. Galatasaray are willing to offer the ex-Atalanta star an escape route as they plot a double raid on Serie A clubs.

In addition to Roma, they’re negotiating Alvaro Morata’s transfer with Milan. Negotiations are in the final stages, with Okan Buruk’s side on the brink of announcing the Spanish striker’s loan arrival. Cristante could be their next market coup.

Galatasaray are no strangers to shopping in Italy. Victor Osimhen, Mauro Icardi, Lucas Torreira, and Dries Mertens have swapped Serie A for Istanbul in recent years, and the Roma misfit could soon join his former adversaries.
