Gary Neville believes Arsenal can win the Premier League title this term if they bolster their squad with the right signings during the January transfer window.
The Gunners dropped points for the ninth time this season with a 1-1 draw at Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.
They spurned the chance to close the gap on league leaders Liverpool, who also drew on Sunday against Manchester United.
Arsenal have been linked with Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak. However, Neville does not see them spending the £150 million the Magpies want for him.
He has doubts over whether Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz can get the job done for them.
The Sky Sports pundit claims the Arsenal striking duo are frustrating to watch at times as they struggle to get their positioning right.
“Jesus, I watched him again last night – I actually love Gabriel Jesus, but he is everywhere except where you want him,” he said on the latest episode of the Gary Neville podcast.
“Havertz is a little bit the same, you want them really in that six-yard box.
“It is just a bit frustrating watching them at times because I think they have got something about them, the journey they are on with the manager.
“They will be happy today that Liverpool have dropped points and they are still in it, but they are going to have to improve enormously, I think.”
Jesus has enjoyed a rich vein of form recently, with six goals in his last five games, while Havertz has five goals in his last eight games appearances for Arsenal.
However, whether they can produce the goods and help get the Gunners over the line in the title race is debatable.
Isak has scored nine goals in his last eight Premier League games and he could be a difference-maker for Arsenal.
