Paulo Fonseca will once again be without the majority of the senior squad given that another international break is upon us, and some clarification has arrived on Alvaro Morata’s condition.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Radio Rossonera) talks about the mystery surrounding Morata and Luka Jovic. The pair were not available for the Cagliari game due to respective head and back injuries, yet Spain and Serbia have called them up.

Jovic has been out with pubalgia since mid-October, or rather since returning from commitments with Serbia in the previous break, meaning he has barely been available to Fonseca in the last month. Yet today, he and Strahinja Pavlovic will jet off for international duty.

There is less mystery surrounding Morata. Milan sent all the relevant documentation to Spain on the blow to the head that he received in training on Thursday. The prognosis given by the hospital officials in Legnano says a 10-day stop is needed.

This means Morata would not be able to play the match on November 15 against Denmark, but could make it back for the game against Noah Okafor’s Switzerland on the 18th. At Milanello they are hoping they win the first game to seal top spot, then De La Fuente may release some players early.
