The disappointments of this season can either bury the club or boost AC Milan to do better, fuelled by the need to prove themselves, and it seems like it could be a case of the latter.

Across the pitch, and in fairness off it, Milan has been subpar on many occasions. Players, coaches, and management have all had questions asked about their situations this season and their reasoning for different things.

So, it is not a surprise that the club are sitting in 9th with one last hope of a ‘decent’ (which is debatable) season being achieved.

Despite this, though, the big stars have no desire to leave the club, according to this morning’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below). In fact, there is more hunger to fight for the Rossoneri, with exits not even being thought of.

As the report states, all of the club’s stars want to stay at the club and will even take ‘lower figures’ to remain at the club, due to a sense of belonging.

Christian Pulisic should start off the renewals (moving from €4 million to €5m per season), interest has been present, but he thinks of nothing other than the Rossoneri.

Whilst Theo Hernandez’s situation is vastly different to the rest, his focus is the same: he wants to stay. So, he is ready to extend his deal on the Diavolo’s terms, which is a huge breakthrough in the situation.

Adding to this list, Mike Maignan should also renew his deal, and the figures could be lowered in the summer when everyone sits down to discuss things. After all, his ‘desire to bring Milan back to the top’ could be greater than financial gain.

Finally, Rafael Leao’s situation differs slightly again, as it is not a case of signatures, at least on a new contract. Instead, it is on a new club, and the Portuguese’s stance is clear; he wants to stay.
