As reported by Het Nieuwsblad, Genk’s winter signing Tolu Arokodare is set to miss a couple of weeks few injury. The striker had to come off during the sides comfortable 3-0 win over relegation threatened Oostende. The 22-year-old Nigerian was signed on deadline day to replace top scorer Paul Onuachu, who joined Southampton. Arokodare scored on his debut against Gent and grabbed his first assist for the side against Mechelen.

Arokodare was replaced by Mbwana Samatta, who went on to grab his second goal of the season for the league leaders. The side will now have to lean heavily on the Tanzanian striker, who is currently on loan from Turkish side Fenerbahce. During his first spell with Genk, Samatta scored an impressive 75 goals in 191 games, which saw him move on to join Aston Villa in the Premier League. After struggling to adapt to both the English leagues and Turkey, Samatta spent last season on loan at fellow Belgian side Antwerp. He scored nine goals in 39 games for the Great Old.
