Yann Bisseck and Matteo Darmian are both set to start for Inter Milan in Sunday’s Serie A match against Fiorentina.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Inter take on Fiorentina in Serie A on Sunday evening.
And Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi will have to cope with one major injury for this weekend’s match.
That is to defender Benjamin Pavard. The Frenchman looks set to be out for a few weeks as he recovers from a thigh strain that he picked up against RB Leipzig in the Champions League.
There are a couple possible candidates to take over for Pavard on the right of Inter’s back three.
One is Bisseck. The German is certainly a natural option in the role, which is where he’s played the majority of the time he’s been at Inter.
On the other hand, Darmian has also proven to be more than capable of deputizing in the role.
If the former Manchester United and Parma veteran were to play in the back three, then Denzel Dumfries would likely start at right-wingback.
But according to the Corriere, Darmian is the favourite to start on the right flank on Sunday.
Therefore, it will be Bisseck starting on the right of the back three for Inter.
