Getafe announce Juan Berrocal signing | OneFootball

La Liga outfit Getafe have on Monday announced a fresh addition to the club’s defensive ranks.

The player all set to line out for the Azulones for the 2024/25 campaign? Juan Berrocal.

Berrocal, for his part, is a 25-year-old defender, who generally lines out in a central role.

The Spaniard has spent the last two seasons plying his trade with SD Eibar, with his performances last time out in particular – en route to 36 appearances in the 2nd tier – having piqued attentions across the La Liga landscape.

One such club who quickly expressed an interest in bringing in Berrocal were Getafe, who recently kickstarted negotiations with their counterparts at Eibar over the terms of a deal.

And, as alluded to above, on Monday, such discussions have officially borne fruit.

As per a statement across the club’s website and social media platforms:

‘The Getafe Football Club has closed a new addition in this summer market. This is Juan Berrocal, the 25-year-old defender from S.D. Eibar, where he has played the last two seasons in LALIGA HYPERMOTION. The blue team has reached an agreement for the transfer of the footballer, who signs with Getafe C.F. for the next three seasons.’
