However, the Mexico international had already reached an agreement with Milan and didn’t even listen to Spurs’ offer so the Premier League side signed Mathys Tel on loan from Bayern Munich.

Gimenez joined Milan on a €28.5m deal plus add-ons.

According to Calciomercato, the bonuses in the deal are tied to three team targets. A big slice of add-ons depends on Milan’s Champions League qualification this season, while the other two are tied to Coppa Italia and Champions League victory.

Feyenoord will also get extra money if Gimenez reaches double figures for goals across all competitions.

The Mexican has already netted twice with the Rossoneri.

His transfer fee can rise to €35m, and Feyenoord also have a 10% sell-on clause.
