Girona FC, with the International Breast Cancer Day | OneFootball

Girona FC, together with the Girona Association Against Cancer, Oncolliga Girona and IDIBGI (Girona Research Institute), have organised a series of actions to commemorate International Breast Cancer Day, which will be celebrated this Saturday, 19 October, coinciding with the match against Real Sociedad.

The Club has designed an exclusive, pink colourful T-shirt with the name ‘Som Tossudes’. The shirt will be available from today in the online shop and will be worn by the players who take to the field before the match against Real Sociedad at Montilivi. The proceeds from the sale of the shirts will go to the three organisations.

In addition, in keeping with this season's tradition, Girona FC will be wearing a captain's armband with an illustration of an iconic landmark in the province of Girona. For this match, the Medes Islands will be the protagonists and will wear different details to commemorate this International Breast Cancer Day. The proceeds from the sale of the bracelet will also go to the three organisations.

Patients, families and researchers from these three organisations have been invited to the match and will also have a stop in the Fan Zone, where they will be able to inform about their activities in the fight against breast cancer. With these actions, Girona FC aims to serve as a platform to raise awareness and funds for research and support for people affected by breast cancer.
