And the matchup between Marseille and AEK Athens has given us perhaps the most dramatic spell of the day so far across the continent.

While Marseille grabbed an early lead through Vitinha, AEK found their way back into the game after the halftime restart to stun the home crowd.

The chess match appeared to continue, but a spanner was thrown into the works just four minutes after the equaliser.

AEK keeper Cican Stanković was sent off for denying a goalscoring opportunity when he took down Vitinha in the box.

Marseille were awarded a penalty, which was swiftly dispatched by Amine Harit to give the hosts the lead once again.
