The President of Godoy Cruz has made clear to Inter Milan that the release clause for midfielder Santino Andino is €20 million.

Godoy President Jose Manzur spoke to Italian outlet FCInterNews. He gave a “hands off” message regarding the 19-year-old midfielder, and also noted that there are a couple Premier League clubs keen to sign him.

Yesterday, transfer links emerged between Inter and young Godoy midfielder Andino.

Reportedly, the 19-year-old is a player who the Nerazzurri want to sign for their newly-formed Under-23 team.

Inter have long scouted South America for young talent. Argentina in particular.

Therefore, it is not a surprise to see a player like Andino reportedly come up on the Nerazzurri’s radar.

Moreover, a report yesterday suggested that Inter are set to miss out on the signing of midfielder Tomas Perez. Talks with Newell’s Old Boys for a transfer of Perez reportedly fell through.

Therefore, Santino Andino could represent an alternative target if Inter want to sign a young Argentine midfielder to bolster their ranks for the future.

Godoy President Warns Inter: “€20M Release Clause For Santino Andino, Premier League Clubs Interested”

There is hardly a guarantee that Inter will be able to agree a deal for Andino, however.

The Nerazzurri have found negotiations with Newell’s tricky for Tomas Perez, as well as Mateo Silvetti.

And it could very well prove to be a similar case with Andino.

Godoy President Manzur has made clear that his club intend to cash in.

Firstly, Manzur made clear that “the player’s contract belongs 100% to us.”

“His release clause is $20 million [equivalent to around €19 million],” the Godoy President continued.

Meanwhile, Manzur noted that “Two clubs in the Premier League have already inquired about him.”

However, the Godoy President noted that “This is a discussion for June. Not for the immediate future.”

“Clubs who want to sign Andino will have to wait,” he made clear.
