Gonzalez chooses his City shirt number | OneFootball

Nico Gonzalez will wear the No.14 shirt at Manchester City.

The 23-year-old has moved from Porto on a four-and-a-half-year deal and will immediately join up with Pep Guardiola’s squad.

He follows Abdukodir Khusanov, Vitor Reis and Omar Marmoush through the door as our fourth signing of the winter transfer window.

Our new midfielder has chosen to don the No.14 shirt, which has been vacant since Aymeric Laporte’s departure in August 2023.

Spanish international defender Laporte was No.14 throughout his highly successful five and a half years at the Etihad, playing 180 times and lifting 12 trophies.

It has also previously been worn by the likes of Paul Dickov, Eyal Berkovic, Javi Garcia, Wilfried Bony, Roque Santa Cruz and our women’s team manager Gareth Taylor.
