KINGSTON, Jamaica – NJ/NY Gotham FC won 13-nil against Frazsiers Whip in Group A play in the 2024/25 Concacaf W Champions Cup on Wednesday at the National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica.

Yazmeen Ryan placed the visitors in the lead in the 13’ with a shot to the bottom left corner of goal.

Ryan added a second in the 18’ to extend the lead for Gotham FC, getting through the Jamaican defensive line to shoot with her right leg into the same place she struck the opener.

Mandy Freeman scored the third goal for Gotham FC in the 39’ to capitalize on a corner kick.

Cece Kizer scored her first goal with the NWSL side and the fourth goal of the evening in the 45’+5 from a rebound ball that hit the crossbar, striking a right shot into the back of the net.

Jenna Nighswonger continued the offensive display for Gotham in the second half with a goal in the 47’, hitting the ball into the bottom part of the net for her second goal in the tournament.

Taryn Torres made an instant impact off the bench, scoring in the 52’ to extend the lead by six for Gotham.

Torres scored again in  the 53’, earning her brace when she sent a left foot banger from outside the box.

Lynn Williams scored her first goal in the W Champions Cup in the 82’ with an assist from Jéssica Silva.

Williams returned the assist to Silva, who wrote her name on the scoreboard in the 84’ with a first touch in the box that finished in the bottom right corner.

Nevillegail Able conceded an own goal in the 85’ while trying to clear a dangerous ball inside the penalty area.

Williams scored once again in the 86’, getting a ball just in the upper side of the area for her second of the night.

Yazmeen Ryan completed her hat-trick club in the 90 '+2, converting on a corner kick.

Lynn Williams secured her hat-trick in the 90 '+3, closing the scoring with a left-footed shot.

Frazsier Whip finished their participation in the inaugural W Champions Cup, exiting the tournament with a 0-0-4 record and fifth place in Group A.

Gotham FC took a strong hold of first place in its group and heads into its final match of the opening round with a 2-1-0 record. The U.S. side will defend its position when it hosts Tigres UANL Femenil on October 16 at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey.
