Grace Geyoro will be available for Euro 2022 after medical examinations revealed the France midfielder's knee injury to just be a short term problem, removing doubts over her participation in the tournament.
Geyoro - PSG's captain and France's most capped midfielder in their 23-player Euro 2022 squad - went down with a knee injury following an innocuous challenge during training on Tuesday and left the field in tears with the help of the medical team
The 24-year-old has since undergone examinations, and RMC Sport report that these revealed an internal lateral sprain of the left knee, which will leave her out of action for 10 days.
This will leave Geyoro sidelined until early July, but means she should be fit in time for France's opening Euro 2022 group game against Italy at the New York Stadium in Rotherham on 10 July.
France then face Belgium on 14 July and conclude their group stage campaign on 18 July against Iceland.
Geyoro will likely miss France's penultimate pre-Euro 2022 friendly against Cameroon on 25 June, but could be in contention to return for the team's final match before the tournament kicks off against Vietnam on 1 July.
France are vying to reach a major tournament final for the first time in their history at Euro 2022. Despite consistently boasting a squad brimming with world class talent, Les Bleues have suffered four consecutive major tournament quarter final exits.
