Guidi comments after Milan Primavera achieve play-offs: “A great emotion” | OneFootball

AC Milan Primavera clutched the play-offs this afternoon, thanks to results going in their favour, and Federico Guidi commented on his feelings.

It seemed like Milan were going to miss out on the play-offs, as Hellas Verona gained an advantage last weekend, due to the Rossoneri’s loss to Torino. For many, there were no hopes going into today’s clash.

However, something magical happened as Verona lost, opening the route to the play-offs for the young Diavolo team. A route which they took with a 3-1 win against Genoa this afternoon.

Speaking after the game, Guidi, the coach of the team, spoke to the media about the success and his words have been relayed by Milan News.

“It was a great emotion and a satisfaction, perhaps the greatest since I have been doing this job, even more than the victories. We have made up for many difficulties. We reached the playoffs with the younger team, an unexpected result at the beginning of the season. We have several players with Milan Futuro. They are satisfactions.

“We faced today’s game, the most important in the field, with some players who had played less, but this is the outcome of a healthy group that puts the we before the I.

“For a coach, coaching this group is such a great satisfaction. Today there is really so much joy.”

Sassuolo will now await Milan’s Primavera outfit in the first stage of the play-offs, and you can only hope the dream continues for the young team who have achieved so much this season. For now, the moment will be savoured, and maybe some new stars are about to be made.
