Colombus Crew striker Gyasi Zardes has admitted it “feel great” to be with the American national team after he was called up for their friendlies this month.
The 27-year-old has been in fine form for Gregg Berhalter’s men this term, netting 15 times in 27 appearances.
And he revealed his delight after being re-called to the national team for their games against Brazil and Mexico.
“It’s an amazing opportunity to improve myself and utilise this week to get better,” Zardes said prior to the team’s first training session Monday.
“We don’t have a game this weekend with Columbus, so it’s a good opportunity for myself just to get better.”
Zardes, who has won 38 USMNT caps, has scored 15 goals in MLS so far this year.
