Hansi Flick asks Barcelona President to bolster one key area in January window – Report | OneFootball

FC Barcelona are still grappling with the registration issue of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor but they are already linked with transfers for January. It is understood that the two issues are independent of one another but it still is not a nice place to be in.

Imagine being one of those two players and seeing the club bring new additions to the squad at a time when they are unable to register them. It could cause huge unrest and Barcelona will have to handle the situation sensitively.

Although Barcelona are working against the clock to try and solve the issue, it is looking increasingly difficult with every passing day. This saga has already tarnished the club’s image to a great deal and Laporta has to be careful not to damage it anymore.

Now, as per Fichajes, Hansi Flick has demanded the Barcelona president to get him a new striker this winter transfer window to provide backup to Robert Lewandowski and also help the club create chances and score goals.

Lewandowski has been in top form so far this season. Despite slowing down a bit in recent weeks, the Pole has had a good season overall but at his age, he might not be able to take the load of playing 90 minutes every single week.

However, that is exactly why Barcelona signed Pau Víctor, who they are unable to register. Ferran Torres has also had an excellent stint in recent weeks playing as the number nine and has scored a number of goals from that position.

Considering everything that is in play here, the situation of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor, and the financial distress that the club has been under for quite a few weeks now, signing a new striker might not be the play this winter at least.

Let’s wait and see if Hansi Flick pushes on his supposed demand and where this ends up this month. Only time will tell how it plays out.
