FC Barcelona need good results in La Liga desperately right now, and the club cannot afford to drop any more points. After their lacklustre display against Las Palmas, the Catalan giants now have another chance to bounce back. However, the only way they can manage to do that is if Barcelona plays at their best level.

So far this season, there is a specific distinction between the Barcelona side that played at their best level and put on stunning displays, and the team that has been seen recently. Unfortunately for Hansi Flick, his players are not delivering the results he expects them to.

Some of the blame for that can be placed upon the injuries that the team is dealing with as well, and one of the major absentees was Dani Olmo. Statistically one of the team’s most important players, his return could be a key turning point for La Blaugrana.

Having been out injured due to some discomfort he was facing recently, the Spaniard ended up watching the last game from the bench. Despite being in the squad, the former RB Leipzig star could do nothing as he saw his team succumb to an unfortunate defeat at the hands of Las Palmas.

Now, however, as highlighted by Fabrizio Romano, Hansi Flick has confirmed himself that Olmo is fully back and there is a chance that he could even start against Mallorca:

“Dani Olmo is back and he’s available, he could start tomorrow.”

This will come as great news to Barcelona and the team’s coach, as Olmo’s availability is a boost no matter when it comes. Beyond just being a top player himself, he also fits in perfectly within Flick’s system and there is perhaps no better fit when it comes to the attacking midfield position right behind the centre-forward.

Mallorca will not be an easy test, however, and it will need Barça to shake off their recent nerves. Away from home this time, La Blaugrana will not have the warmth of their own fans backing them up. For that reason, every single detail must be perfect, both tactically and in terms of individual performances as well.
