Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has come to a decision on his midfield plans for the club’s next outing.

That’s according to Diario AS, who have provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.

Barcelona are of course primed to return to action on Wednesday evening. Turning attentions back towards matters in the Champions League, the Blaugrana have made the trip to Portugal, for a Last-16 first-leg showdown with Benfica.

And if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then Hansi Flick has already made some key decisions when it comes to his line-up for the clash.

As has proven the case frequently over recent weeks, the most difficult call for Barcelona’s headmaster comes in the middle of the park.

This comes with all of Frenkie de Jong, Pedri, Gavi, Dani Olmo, Marc Casadó and Fermín López vying for just three starting places.

As per the aforementioned AS, though, the Catalans’ engine room setup to face Benfica has been locked in.

The trio set to feature from the off in Lisbon? Frenkie de Jong, Pedri, and Dani Olmo.
